Spring and summer dresses to look out for
1 May
With summer around the corner now is the time to grab a few new spring dresses to update your wardrobe. This coming spring mid-length dresses that hit just above the knees are a large hit along with bolder designs and geometric shapes that prove that womens clothing fashion is finally starting to get a bit edgier again.
Another notable change as the most prominent nations come out of the recession, extravagance is going to start to come back out with clothing items that are a bit pricier and a lot more spectacular to look at. This is clear from the bright colours of the sixties and seventies retro dresses down to the careful details that will be sewn into many of the most brilliant pieces.
Maxi dresses will also still be quite trendy with many sheer maxis seen on the runway as a nod to the staple that has helped shape modern culture over the last few years. Expect to see maxis in every other form as well including metallic and bold floral prints. Floral prints in general are larger than life this year and you cannot go wrong by choosing at least one to hang in your closet for both spring and summer wear.
