Top local markets in London
20 Nov
Anyone that has been to London can let you know that shopping is both confusing and a lot of fun depending on how well you know where you want to head. The good news for those who like bargains and plenty of unusual items will find plenty of local markets spread throughout the city of London. About 3km to the west of Marble Arch is the Portobello Market which is one of the most famous markets in London and easily reached by bus or by the tube. You can find the market open six days a week and an antique market on Saturday.
Other great choices include the Chapel market where you can find great deals on many second hand goods, vegetables, jewellery, and more. Also attractive is the Southall market where you will find Brick Lane covered with many market stalls and attractions. Finally, a visit to the London Street Markets is not complete unless you stop by Petticoat Lane which is one of the oldest still meeting on a regular basis and supports well over a thousand stalls filled with great goods for you to sift through.
