Last year Tom Ford was met with disappointment at London Fashion Week as many claimed that he took a day off after some disastrous looks on the catwalk.  However, this year Ford is back in full force, choosing to show some stunning classic fashions to lucky editors that were invited into his private showroom to take a look.

This year, Ford opted out of the catwalk scene. Preferring to return to his previous method of bringing small groups of editors into his showroom to see the fashions on models, enabling him to talk his way through every look. This also gave him a chance to explain that the goal of his label is to celebrate the fashion of individual women and that his sole aim is to make a women feel special in his clothing. (more…)

The art of knitting

When most people think about knitting the first image that pops to mind is a grandmother or aunt that used to spend hours twiddling away with some string and needles. However, knitting is actually an art form that takes time to learn and master, but is well worthwhile since you can create some stunning clothes on your own once you figure out just what ‘over and under’ really means. While it is not the simplest thing to get the hang of, there is plenty more to knitting than just ugly cable holiday sweaters and scarves.
