If you are exploring the many different netbooks on the market right now you may get distracted by the flashy ads and the look of them, but before you make a purchase based on their shiny exteriors and taglines it pays to take a closer look at what you are actually getting because the market is quite varied.
In particular, in an age when phones get bigger and computers get smaller you will want to stick to a netbook that offers at least an 11 inch monitor. Many people like the idea of the tiny 7 inch screens, but if you are purchasing the netbook to replace your laptop likely you will get frustrated easily with anything much smaller.
Like other computing devices, you will also want to carefully check out how much RAM and disk space comes with the netbook you have in mind and weigh it against the functions that you plan on using your netbook for. While you do not want to end up with a slow moving netbook, you also do not want to pay way more than you should for a mega-packed netbook when you only plan on occasionally using it for travel.
